About
You might be wondering what is theZUDreport and who or what does ZeroUniversalDrift mean??? Well, first let me start by introducing myself. My name is Kurt, and I’m the one who you’ve see in the ZeroUniversalDrift review videos, in fact I’m the one who does the videos, blogs, FaceBook and Twitter updates.
I started in 2010 doing a couple videos showing off Ubuntu Linux to some friends and kind of caught the video bug, so to speak. I spent some time watching review videos of phones, games and pretty much everything else before I decided to start making my own review videos for Android phones. Looking back on those early LG Optimus M videos, I’m surprised anyone even watched them. Any way, I knew that I didn’t want to use my personal YouTube account for this, just in case I bombed I could easily delete the account. So I decided to use ZeroUniversalDrift as my user name. So, what does that mean exactly?
It’s kind of a hard story to tell, but I’ll give you the short version. One night a few years back, I… apparently, woke up in the middle of the night, fired up my laptop and wrote a few pages describing a theory for time travel. Why? I don’t know. It took a few days for me to find the document I wrote, because I didn’t remember doing it. A lot of it was jibberish, but one part that stood out was: needing to be able to calculate the exact center of the universe because it would be the one place that moved the least… a point of zero universal drift.
Now that I am doing more than just videos, I realize that it’s not really a great name for a review/tech/help site, so I’m slowly migrating things to the name theZUDreport… it just sounds a little more official.
Thanks for reading.
Kurt (zud)
